Ewwwww!

A and I were out grocery shopping today (a task I completely detest). My latest addiction is the DelMonte SunFresh fruit. I LOVE the citrus salad and pink grapfruit.

Today we picked up a jar and saw a dead spider floating in the bottom. YUCK, YUCK, SO GROSS!!
I'll now be inspecting every jar before I buy.

ACK!!!!! Hmm...hey the spider would have tasted like grapefruit... YUCK!!!!!! lawsuit! I smell lawsuit! Call the customer service number found on the label dial and total rip into whoever answers. Tell them that you soooo DON'T appreciate the "extra" flavor or added protein in your citrus salad! Gross indeed, Mel!

See- I sort of think this is reassuring. That fruit was grown and processed somewhere where there weren't so many poisons that spiders couldn't live. But spiders don't gross me out. Now if it had been a roach....

But yes, call the company. You'll at least get vouchers for more fruit. Spiderless, hopefully.

Queen-actually we didn't buy the jar. A wanted to put it back on the shelf but I insisted we turn it in to customer service. Thay probably put it back on the shelf though.

Rocket-you win. Eating a fly is much more disgusting than a spider floating in the jar.

Ms. Moon-The fruit is a prduct of Mexico. Maybe he was just trying to get across the border. If I had seen a cockroach I would have benn puking on the spot.

Protein.
Okay, not protein, just gross.
You can probably make out with Del Monte if you write to their customer service.

Don't even think about inspecting your dry cereal.

Flies on MCD's burgers? I thought that was normal.

LOL, just a little protein in your diet!

That's just gross.

Two years ago, my oldest bought an Olympic glass at McDonalds. It came complete with cockroach on the bottom. Needless to say, I've never been back.

I knew there was a reason I avoid McD's. I also think there are much better sources of protein than insects-although they are a delicacy in some cultures. Roaches scare me so badly that I ran out of a toliet in FL with my swimsuit still down.

Thanks Jude, I'm going through my cornflakes right now!
